Dr Michael Nikolaides

Dr Michael Nikolaides has led BMW Group’s logistics management since February 2022. He oversees all logistics functions as well as plant allocation and programme planning for the global production network. That includes long-term network design, packaging, responsibility for partner plants, overseas supply, vehicle distribution and supply chain digitalisation. In 2024, he was elected to be a member of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG.

Dr Nikolaides joined BMW in 2004 and has held roles across production, programme management and strategy, including most recently as senior vice-president for engines and electrified powertrains. He studied Physics at the Technical University of Munich and Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts and holds a doctorate in Physics.
