Kohei Yamauchi
Automotive Manufacturing & Supply Chain DX Leader
Kohei Yamauchi is a manufacturing and supply-chain transformation leader with more than 13 years of experience bridging digital technology and real-world automotive operations.
Since 2017, he has led initiatives ranging from autonomous mobile robots and autonomous logistics vehicles to IoT and machine-learning-based logistics optimisation, LiDAR-based flow analysis, and digitalisation of inbound parts logistics. His work focuses on bridging the gap between technology experimentation and practical deployment in manufacturing and supply-chain operations.
He currently leads a Manufacturing & Logistics DX team at a Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer, where he established a multidisciplinary in-house DX organisation spanning software, robotics and project management. He has also developed industry–academia collaborations and technology partnerships with organisations including EasyMile and Panasonic. His contributions have been recognised with a company Vice President Award.
Kohei has delivered DX-related guest lectures at around 10 universities in Japan and has spoken at industry and technology conferences. He is fluent in Japanese and English.
