Recap on key messages from day one and a look ahead to themes to come.
[Panel] Managing uncertainty and variation: Building resilience in the South-East Asian supply chain
Whether long order-to-delivery lead times, disruptions to supply, geopolitical unrest or extreme weather, manufacturers across ASEAN must anticipate and mitigate many risks across complex logistics and production. The opening of day two will focus on how leaders in South-East Asia are building proactive resilience through improved visibility, regional suppliers, re-engineered networks and closer integration across functions and strategic partners.
As with other regions around the world, automotive stakeholders in South-East Asia must navigate considerable complexity and uncertainty, including weather disruption, bottlenecks across critical shipping lanes and ports and changing trade rules. However, with especially long supply chains, varied model mixes and often constrained plant or warehouse space, manufacturers across ASEAN need more than contingency stock to ensure resilience. They are instead working to improve visibility, localise sourcing, whilst also re-engineering logistics to ensure the most flexible, yet reliable production.
This session explores how automotive companies can build adaptive supply-chain networks that protect continuity and performance in a fast landscape in South-East Asia. It will examine the shift towards more direct regional and local sourcing, the use of early visibility and collaborative planning to manage supply disruptions, and the operational changes needed when manufacturing and logistics requirements change.
Speakers will share how they are balancing cost, customs considerations, investment constraints and the need for flexibility, while strengthening partnerships, developing and upskilling teams, and improving data transparency across the supply chain.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Diversifying sourcing and logistics networks to build regional supply chain strength, reduce cost and risk across South-East Asia
- Developing playbooks and scenario planning to anticipate alternative supply, inventory and distribution to support operations and customers across the region

[Panel] Reducing the visibility gap: Enhancing end-to-end transparency for South-East Asia
In a dynamic but heterogenous region like the ASEAN bloc, supply chain visibility is critical for stability and success. Discover how automotive leaders in the region are sharing data, building centralised control towers and taking key steps to better leverage AI opportunities
As automotive supply chains are further integrated across South-East Asian markets and key trade partners, gaps in visibility become a critical vulnerability. For OEMs and suppliers to better compete and serve customers, they need the ability to track shipments in real-time, monitor inventory levels across locations and in transit, and understand risk and compliance both upstream and downstream.
This session explores how manufacturers are working with suppliers and logistics providers to close the visibility gap and take the next step towards highly integrated control towers and data-driven logistics. Industry experts will discuss the practical steps needed to integrate fragmented data systems, the role of emerging digital platforms, and the cultural shift required to foster true transparency and collaboration across the entire supply chain network.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Strategies to create a single source of truth for tracking supply, shipments and compliance across ASEAN markets
- Implementing supply chain control towers to enable faster, data-driven decisions
