2026 AGENDA
Supply chain drives growth:
How logistics can unlock potential in South-East Asia
Registration and networking
Welcome to Day 2
Recap on key messages from day one and a look ahead to themes to come.
Preparing for uncertainty: Building resilience in the South-East Asian supply chain
Whether extreme weather, disruptions to energy and material supply, regulatory shifts or geopolitical unrest, manufacturers across ASEAN must anticipate and mitigate many risks. The opening of day two will focus on how leaders in the automotive supply chain are building proactive resilience through diversification, localisation, scenario planning, and closer integration.
Automotive stakeholders in ASEAN must navigate geopolitical uncertainty, weather impacts and bottlenecks across critical shipping lanes and ports, and vulnerabilities deep within multi-tier supplier networks. In this context, a resilient supply chain needs a comprehensive strategy that includes the right mix of technology, partnership, diversification, investment and continuous improvement.
This session will explore how to build dynamic, adaptive supply chain networks that ensure business continuity and high performance in the face of uncertainly, from managing buffer stocks, developing backup plans and using data and visibility to enhance planning, response and anticipation.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Assessing the options and costs of diversifying sourcing and logistics networks to build regional supply chain strength and reduce risk across South-East Asia
- Developing playbooks and scenario planning to anticipate alternative supply, inventory and distribution to support operations and customers across the region
- Designing flexible logistics strategies for re-routing of cargo or shifting transport modes to maintain or improve lead times when key logistics lanes are at risk
Reducing the visibility gap: Enhancing end-to-end transparency for South-East Asia
In a dynamic but heterogenous region like the ASEAN bloc, supply chain visibility is critical for stability and success. Discover how automotive leaders in the region are sharing data, building centralised control towers and taking key steps to better leverage AI opportunities
As automotive supply chains are further integrated across South-East Asian markets and key trade partners, gaps in visibility become a critical vulnerability. For OEMs and suppliers to better compete and serve customers, they need the ability to track shipments in real-time, monitor inventory levels across locations and in transit, and understand risk and compliance both upstream and downstream.
This session explores how manufacturers are working with suppliers and logistics providers to close the visibility gap and take the next step towards highly integrated control towers and data-driven logistics. Industry experts will discuss the practical steps needed to integrate fragmented data systems, the role of emerging digital platforms, and the cultural shift required to foster true transparency and collaboration across the entire supply chain network.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Strategies to create a single source of truth for tracking supply, shipments and compliance across ASEAN markets
- Implementing supply chain control towers to enable faster, data-driven decisions
- Enhancing sharing and trust across the supply chain to improve upstream and downstream visibility
- Leveraging real-time visibility and data to implement AI-powered tools to improve logistics and supply chain performance
Networking break
Take this opportunity to engage with fellow OEMs, suppliers, logistics and technology providers in attendance. Whether you're reconnecting with existing contacts or forging new ones, this session is designed for high-impact conversations in a relaxed, informal setting.
Mastering cross-border complexity: Enhancing intra-ASEAN and international trade flows
Automotive manufacturers are both deepening integration in the ASEAN bloc, as well expanding trade with key partners across Asia Pacific. In this session, discover strategies for streamlining cross-border flows, including developing logistics corridors free trade zones, improving customs clearance and investing in the right partnerships
The South-East Asian automotive supply chain is highly interconnected, with supply and trade with major international partners like Japan, China, India, South Korea and beyond. However, moving freight seamlessly across these borders remains a challenge, as manufacturers and logistics providers face infrastructure bottlenecks and logistics capacity issues at key ports and borders, as well as fragmented trade regulation, all of which can create friction, inflate costs and extend lead times.
This session will explore how OEMs and logistics providers are overcoming these cross-border hurdles to build seamless, high-velocity trade lanes, including investing in logistics and supply chain flows with the right partners, assets and infrastructure, multi-modal transport routes connecting South-East Asia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
Industry experts will also discuss strategies and recommendations for improving complex trade processes compliance and improving speed to market, such as harmonising customs procedure, improving multi-market certification, as well as advice on leveraging free trade agreements.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Enhancing logistics connectivity and freight capacity between ASEAN and critical supply hubs in wider Asia Pacific, including Japan, China, India and beyond
- Addressing capacity constraints at key border crossings, port terminals, airports and multimodal transport links
- Practical approaches to navigating complex customs procedures across different ASEAN markets to reduce border delays
- Maximising the benefits of regional trade pacts (such as RCEP and ATIGA) to mitigate tariffs and reduce the total landed cost of imported components and kits.
Localising logistics and supply: Ensuring the network, sourcing, tech and talent to boost South-East Asia
To compete across South-East Asia, manufacturers and logistics partners must work together to establish the right supply and freight assets, services and skills to meet customer needs. This session will look at the opportunities and challenges in developing a more localised supply and logistics base
Whilst South-East Asia is emerging as a growing automotive manufacturing and sales base, the region still faces gaps in establishing a fully integrated and efficient regional supply chain that can efficiently manage complexities and requirements across the sector, including for vehicle launches and change management, as well as expanding production of EVs, software-defined vehicles and components. To attract more regional manufacturing and investment, the regional also needs to develop logistics facilities, freight and customers services that match the requirements of the automotive industry.
This session will explore strategic approaches to enhancing regional supply chain and logistics capabilities, including improved launch, engineering and change management. Leaders will also discuss opportunities for regional and global distribution centres, state-of-the-art terminal and warehousing for a variety of vehicle, battery and component types, as well as freight consolidation and cargo handling in key locations connecting South-East Asia.
Leaders will explore the link between developing agile, efficient and reliable logistics and supply chain management, and how that can help to propel further investments in regional manufacturing and sourcing, with the goal of creating a truly integrated regional network.
Talking points in this session will include:
- Insight into the regional logistics and freight capabilities needed to make the region Asia a more competitive and reliable hub for automotive manufacturers
- Requirements and opportunities to invest and further localise logistics and supply chain services, warehouse, terminal and facility operations
- Strategies to deepen and improve supplier and partner capabilities and skills to better meet regional automotive requirements
- Understanding how to improve new vehicle launches and programme management across an integrated South-East Asian supply chain
